Chapter 02 · Foundation
Creating Success with Your Program
The success of your breast health program rests on an equal and active partnership between you and your practitioner.
Natural therapies are not a quick fix. There will never be one “cure” for breast cancer, but there are a great many healing practices, nutritional therapies, and supplements that can work together to sustain health so that breast cancer is unlikely to occur, or may be coaxed to retreat.
Breast cancer is, after all, a systemic disease. Improving the function of the digestive, lymphatic, immune, circulatory, and detoxification systems will decrease your susceptibility. It will take time to evaluate the areas of your physical and emotional health that need to be addressed — and even more time to adapt to and sustain those changes.
As your practitioner, my role is to guide and support you through the steps you need to take to recover and protect your health.
“The most important medicine you receive is the one you choose to take part in every day.”
Responsibilities of the Client
Nine resolutions to keep you on track
- 01
Keep regular visits
Your health is monitored for progression and regression of any concern over time.
- 02
Practice self-exams monthly
Use breast self-exams and breast mapping each month, and notify your naturopath of any findings.
- 03
Follow nutrition guidance
Diet plan, supplement schedule, herbal tinctures, and homeopathic remedies are part of one connected protocol.
- 04
Use recommended therapies
These accelerate the body's natural healing capacity and complement everything else you are doing.
- 05
Continue regular screenings
Preferably every three months for the first year, then as recommended thereafter.
- 06
Communicate openly
Share side effects or financial constraints so your regimen can be safely adjusted.
- 07
Be an active participant
Understand the disease process and the steps required to reverse it.
- 08
Complete your worksheets
Each assignment in this workbook is designed to teach and to give the body permission to heal.
- 09
Be patient with yourself
This took years to develop. Allow yourself a few years to address it. You are worth it.
